Tighter skin, no needles, no downtime

XERF™ is the first radiofrequency treatment to run two frequencies at once, so energy reaches the shallow, middle and deep layers of your skin in a single pass. Your consultation is complimentary and there is no obligation to book a treatment.

  • No numbing, no needles, no recovery time
  • Safe for a wide range of skin tones, year round
  • Face, neck, jawline, décolleté, abdomen, arms and thighs
  • Three depth settings and ten intensity levels, mapped to your skin

What XERF actually does

The technology

XERF is a non-invasive monopolar radiofrequency system from Cynosure Lutronic. It warms tissue below the surface to contract and strengthen collagen, which firms skin that has started to loosen along the jawline, neck, abdomen or arms.

How it works

Older radiofrequency devices use one frequency, which forces a trade-off: reach the surface or reach the depth, but not both well.

XERF runs 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz together, so a single pass covers all three levels. The handpiece cools the surface while it heats underneath, which is why the treatment is done without numbing cream and why you can go back to work straight after.

No preparation

No numbing, no injections, no post-treatment care routine. Come as you are, leave with makeup back on if you want it.

Adjusted as it runs

The device reads your skin's impedance continuously, so settings are matched to your tissue rather than a fixed protocol.

Built up over a series

Most people are treated in a short series spaced a few weeks apart, with collagen change continuing for months afterward.

What happens in your free consultation

About 30 minutes with Nicole, in person at our Westcliff Drive suite. Nothing is charged and nothing is booked unless you decide to move forward.

We look at your skin

Laxity, texture, tone and where it is actually changing — not just where you think it is. We photograph the areas you care about so there is a baseline to compare against.

We map depth and intensity

Your provider decides which of the three depths your concerns sit at, and which areas need the deep 2 MHz pass versus surface work.

We tell you if XERF is the wrong call

If your concern is volume loss, pigment or acne scarring, radiofrequency tightening is not the answer. We will say so and point you to Morpheus8, Lumecca Peak IPL or Cool Peel instead.

You get real numbers

Session count, spacing, full pricing and package options, plus Cherry payment plans if you want to spread it out. Written down, so you can think about it at home.

Is XERF right for you?

A good fit if

  • You have mild to moderate laxity
  • You want a firmer jawline or neck without surgery
  • You cannot take downtime
  • You want to hold the results of a facelift or Morpheus8 series

Probably not the right start

  • Deep volume loss
  • Significant sagging that needs surgical correction
  • Active infection in the treatment area
  • A concern that is really pigment or scarring rather than looseness

Tell us in advance

  • Pregnancy
  • A pacemaker or other implanted electronic device
  • Metal implants in the treatment area
  • Recent injectables

Questions people ask first

Yes. There is no charge and no deposit. You are not committed to booking a treatment afterward, and we would rather tell you XERF is wrong for you than sell you a series you do not need.
Most people describe it as a warm, deep sensation that builds and then eases between pulses. No numbing cream is used because the handpiece cools your skin while it delivers energy underneath. Tell your provider if it gets uncomfortable — intensity is adjustable across ten levels during the session.
Morpheus8 uses microneedles to deliver radiofrequency through the skin, so there is a recovery period. HIFU uses focused ultrasound at fixed depths. XERF delivers radiofrequency without breaking the skin and reaches three depths in the same pass. Many of our clients end up combining them; we will map that out at your consultation.
It depends on the area and how much laxity you are starting with. Most face and neck plans run as a short series spaced a few weeks apart. You will get a specific number and a total price before you book anything.
Some tightening is visible right after a session because heat contracts existing collagen. The larger change comes from new collagen forming over the following weeks and months. Individual results vary.
No. Mild warmth or pinkness can last a short while afterward. You can apply makeup, go back to work and exercise the same day.
Radiofrequency energy does not target pigment the way lasers do, so XERF can be used across a wide range of skin types and year round, including through summer. Your provider will confirm at your consultation.
